Sterling K. Brown Joins Cast of Marvel’s “Black Panther”

Emmy winning actor Sterling K. Brown has joined the cast of Marvel’s upcoming superhero extravaganza Black Panther.

Brown, who is a veteran of both stage and screen and was lauded for his performance as Christopher Darden in The People V. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, for which he won the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie, will portray N’Jobu, a figure from T’Challa’s (aka Black Panther) past. He currently stars in NBC’s critically acclaimed hit drama This Is Us.

Brown joins an already esteemed and melanated cast including Chadwick Boseman (in the title role), Michael B. Jordan, Forest Whitaker, Lupita Nyong’o, Angela Bassett, and Danai Gurira. the film’s directed by Ryan Coogler (Fruitvale Station, Creed), and will be released on February 16, 2018.
