Last week, I got myself a new toy: Holly.
Holly is a Canon EOS M3 24-megapixel mirrorless digital camera. I know, I know, that’s a mouthful. It’s also my first foray into digital photography in almost 10 years (if you don’t count iPhone photography, which, really, I do not). Up until now, I’d been shooting on film.
But I’ll be taking several trips in the latter part of the year, and I decided I wanted a camera to properly document my travels, both with stills and video.
I’ve been playing with it the past few days, and I’m pretty pleased with the results. Clearly these photos are not the best, but there’s a definite learning curve with the M3 and I’m still getting used to it.
But since I like to share my attempts at photography with y’all, here are a few flicks I’ve taken since I’ve gotten my new toy.
As time goes on, I’m sure I’ll become more adept at using Holly, but for now I’m just having fun. I’ll be sure to post more and more photos as I get better at this. Cheers!
