One of the things I was asked about in my recent Film Courage interview was my love for the screenwriting book Save the Cat. However, I noticed that many people in the video’s comments had no idea what Save the Cat was.
So in this video, I give a very brief overview of Save the Cat and the 15-beat structure its author, the late screenwriter Blake Snyder, devised to help screenwriters create commercially viable screenplays. I think it works, and I’m a fan.
